Unlike basic weatherproof boxes, it integrates a high-density 48V DC rectifier system directly into the enclosure, delivering robust power distribution and environmental protection for telecom central offices, remote edge nodes, and industrial facilities.

Dual-Purpose Enclosure Architecture

The cabinet is designed to house a mix of equipment seamlessly. The 24U of 19-inch rack space accommodates active transmission and routing equipment, while the dedicated lower compartment is sized to house heavy-duty battery banks (such as a 100Ah lithium battery) for backup power. This unified approach simplifies site engineering, as power conversion, backup storage, and network equipment share the same secure, climate-controlled footprint.

High-Efficiency Power Conversion and Surge Defense

At the heart of the cabinet is a modular DC power system that accepts a three-phase 380VAC input. It features a 63A 3P+N main breaker and a 20kA/40kA surge protection device (SPD) to guard against lightning and grid spikes. The system utilizes four 3,000W hot-swappable rectifier modules in an N+1 redundant configuration, delivering a maximum output of 12kW. With conversion efficiencies exceeding 96%, the system minimizes heat generation, which is critical in sealed outdoor environments. The cabinet is equipped with a 1,000W air conditioner to counteract internal heat loads and solar radiation. The enclosure itself utilizes a single-layer galvanized steel structure with 20mm PEF (Polyethylene Foam) insulation, maintaining an IP55 protection rating against dust and water jets.

To reduce costly site visits, the cabinet includes a Field Supervision Unit (FSU). This 1U controller connects to a suite of sensors—including door, smoke, water, and temperature sensors—to monitor the site's environment in real-time. Remote management capabilities allow operators to receive alarms and monitor system status, enhancing physical security and minimizing operational expenses.
